Tampah still waiting on his sophomore status (March 27, 2013)

It's often been said that sophomore albums will make or break an artist. Well you can be sure the pressure is on for Tempah, who has been working on the project for the better part of two years.

Officially dubbed "Demonstration," you can be sure of some "crazy" new tunes once the album officially drops. This tease from Labrinth, who once again teamed up with Tempah and told the radio station Capital FM the two artists have come up with some "bangers" together for the record. Other artists Tempah has asked to appear on the project include Chris Martin, Jessie J, Gary Barlow, Dizzee Rascal and The Script.

To be sure, it's been a while since we've heard new music from Tempah. His last true single, "Till I'm Gone," featured Wiz Khalifa and was released in June 2011. In June 2012 he performed at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend on the main stage and played two of his newest songs called "Mosh Pit" and "Drinking from the Bottle," but did not specify if either of them would be included on the new album. Two months later, he took the stage at the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London alongside Jessie J and Taio Cruz.

Tempah has been added to 2013's Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks line-up. He will be joined by Bastille, Chase & Status, Franz Ferdinand and The Other Tribe to play gigs through the summer on the Balearic islands. He is currently slated to perform in Mallorca on July 9 and in Ibiza the following day.

You would really have to delve into the music industry to find some of these golden nuggets, but one MC by the name of Tinie Tempah -- born Patrick Chukwuem Okogwu Jr. -- would be some of the easiest to find if you know where to look. Especially today. He's apparently making waves in the music industry as we speak! It was back in 2007 when he truly broke out into the scene with his own label called Disturbing London (aka DL) to release a mixtape. From then on, the well-known Parlophone label turned their heads and began work on making Tinie Tempah a star.

His first single released was actually well before he even established his own label: it was called 'Wifey.' He had recorded it when he was nothing but a teen! He's more well known for singles in his proper debut album called Disc- Overy in the year of 2010, such as 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky.' Most recently, he's making major headlines for his smash hit 'Written in the Stars,' featuring the talented pianist/frontman in the U.K. by the name of Eric Turner.

Forget the fact that he has this obvious U.K. sound to him (at least from a ghetto perspective). Tinie Tempah has revolutionized the genre of hip-hop and rap in a way that can't even be comprehended. Not only can he turn a phrase well, he does it with the flair of a British star like Elton John. Definitely worth listening to and seeing on stage!
