3/14/13: The Raptors have been routinely bad the entire season, but things are looking up in the coming days as they battle another bottom-feeder, the Charlotte Bobcats, twice in three games. Unfortunately, they also take on the Miami Heat, who are in the midst of a 20-game win streak. Nonetheless, Toronto has some bright spots to look at such as newcomer Rudy Gay, who is leading the team in scoring with 19.6 points a game since joining the team. Jose Calderon also remains a pretty efficient distributor of the basketball, notching 7.4 assists a game compared to just 1.7 turnovers. Look for Toronto to try and gain a little momentum this week and hopefully finish the season on a high note.

4/9/2012: As we move past the 2012 NBA Season's halfway point, it does not look like theToronto Raptors are in a likely position to make this year's playoffs. With a recordof 14-29, the Raptors are in 5th place in the Atlantic division and 13th in theConference, behind New Jersey by one game after their recent loss to the Nets. Inorder to have a shot at redeeming themselves in the 32 games they have left, theRaptors will need to revisit their offensive strategy (currently ranked 28th in theleague for points per game) and figure out how to get more boards (ranked 22ndfor rebounds). Otherwise, Toronto fans will once again be forced to look to the NBAdraft in June for signs of hope.
