About Alejandro Sanz Tickets
Alejandro Sanz (born Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro on December 18 , 1968 in Madrid, Spain) grew up in a musically infused household: his father was a professional guitarist and his family had Andalusian roots, which exposed him early to flamenco rhythms and guitar work. He picked up the guitar at age seven, began composing and performing in local clubs and parish functions as a youth, and by his late teens he had committed to music as his path. His debut release, under the pseudonym “Alejandro Magno”, came in 1989, but it wasn’t until 1991—with the album Viviendo Deprisa—that he began to achieve commercial breakthrough in Spain.
In the mid-1990s Sanz built momentum with albums such as Si Tú Me Miras (1993) and 3 (1995), both of which performed strongly in Spanish‐speaking markets, but it was his 1997 release Más that marked a transformative moment in his career: it became one of the best‐selling albums in Spain’s history and elevated his profile internationally. Building on that, the 2000 album El Alma al Aire sold over a million copies in its first week, cementing his status as a leading star of Latin pop.
Throughout his career, Sanz has been celebrated for blending flamenco influences with pop, rock, R&B and jazz touches, while writing his own songs and evolving his sound. He has earned numerous major awards—including multiple Latin Grammy Awards and four U.S. Grammy Awards. His collaborations with high-profile artists (such as the hit single “La Tortura” with Shakira) and his willingness to explore new musical territories (for example with the album El Tren de los Momentos released in 2006) highlight his lasting relevance and artistic growth.
