Weird Al Yankovic Tickets - The Ultimate Music Parody Mastermind
Who would've thought Lynwood, California, would give birth to such a star as Alfred Matthew Yankovic, born October 23, 1959? Why was he such a star? Well, for one, he had one heck of a sense of humor -- but only matched by his creativity. ?After adopting the nickname 'Weird Al' in 1979, he earned recognition for some monster hits like 'My Bologna,' a parody of the Knack's monster hit 'My Sharona,' which was enough to get Capitol Records attention and spawn a wealth of other hits to make it a debut album.

. He broke out especially during the MTV video scene when music became visual, not only parodying the lyrics, but also the video clips -- such as his rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It.' His single 'Eat It' was astronomical, featured in his 'Weird' Al Yankovic in 3-D' album back in 1984. He then later came out in 1988 with another platinum-selling album called Even Worse, spoofing on Michael Jackson's Bad LP. The first single parodying Jackson's 'Bad' single, titled 'I'm Fat,' really broke Yankovic out, and later earned him a role in the feature film UHF. After taking some time off, 1992 saw the release of yet another album called Off the Deep End, featuring the hit single 'Smells Like Nirvana,' spoofing on the rock band of the same name (Nirvana) and their single 'Smells Like Teen Spirit.' It proved that Weird Al could never go out of style. As long as he lives and breathes (whatever creative drugs he might be sniffing to come up with such awesome stuff), he'll keep putting out those albums!

He emanates with that comedic flair. Just look at him! Sporting funky colors, a goofy look on his face, and a nonchalant way about him that can only be described as, 'hey, I know I'm funny, but not that funny,' has immortalized him as a valid part of this music industry and America.
