The Story of Yes tickets

The consummate progressive rock band, Yes set the mark for many bands in the 1970s and has never stopped. Their unique sound, with sophisticated songwriting techniques, virtuosic musicality and thoughtful, intricate lyrics have maintained an ever-growing audience for their music, which never gets old because it contains so many layers. Yes began in London in 1968 when singer Jon Anderson teamed with bassist Chris Squire, and they enlisted drummer Bill Bruford and Tony Kaye on keyboards. One of the band's first shows was filling in for Sly & the Family Stone, and their success took off from there. Their first album, Yes was released in 1969 and received favorable reviews, which led to a second album, Time and a Word in 1970, featuring a 30-piece orchestra. In 1971, Kaye was replaced by Rick Wakeman, and Yes went on to record some of their most classic albums, including Fragile, an album still considered among the great rock albums, with the song 'Roundabout' reaching Number 13 on Billboard. They followed that success with Close to the Edge in 1972 and Tales from Topographic Oceans in 1973. Through several personnel changes, Yes persisted, and after a lull revisited success in the 1980s with their albums 90215 and Big Generator, scoring hits with 'Owner of a Lonely Heart,' 'Changes' and 'It Can Heppen,' which won a Grammy Award.
