About Young The Giant
Young the Giant Tickets - Band History
Young the Giant began as The Jakes in 2004 and played under that name for the first 5 years of their existence. The band proved to be hardworking in their early years, gradually gaining recognition and popularity through the release of several albums, including This Is? The Jakes (2007). Things started looking up when they played South by Southwest in 2009. During this time, they also began to see their songs featured on TV shows, like The Real World: Brooklyn. In late 2009, the band signed to major label Roadrunner Records and became Young the Giant. In 2011, they released their major label debut, Young the Giant, which peaked at number 95 on U.K.. charts, as well as number 23 on Billboard Heatseekers charts in the U.S. More importantly, it produced hit singles like My Body and Apartment, which have helped the band's renown grow exponentially. Young the Giant is a fiery young band that continues to gain buzz, so make sure to get your Young the Giant tickets before they are sold out.
Young the Giant Tickets - The Music
Young the Giant play a brand of silky smooth rock that is comparable to the likes of Foster the People and News of the Fire. Front man Sameer Gadhia anchors the band with his powerful yet polished vocals, and the rest of the band plays precise, calculated beats and riffs. Their lyrics are frequently poetic introspections regarding life. On Cough Syrup, they moan, Life's too short to even care at all oh, I'm coming up now coming up now out of the blue. These zombies in the park they're looking for my heart. Powerful stuff produced by a sensational band.
