Boston Calling Music Festival Details
Ring, Ring– it’s Boston Calling! This Boston-based music festival first debuted in May of 2013 and took place twice a year– once in May and once in September– at City Hall Plaza. Three years after its initial start, Boston Calling announced it would move its festival to the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston in May of 2017 and transition to one festival per year each May.
In its first two years, the festival was a two-day event. However, due to its soaring success and the draw of so many folks, Boston Calling has since expanded to three days– similar to the Governors Ball Music Festival which is held annually in New York City.
Boston Calling is a rain or shine event and is the perfect way to kick off the joys of summer in the northeast. Not just an event for those into music, Boston Calling also features the biggest and best acts in comedy and visual arts as well! Guests can also enjoy the event’s incredible concessions, with a variety of food choices including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options from over 40 food vendors! There’s something for everyone to enjoy at this exciting festival.
