Chris Young Details

Chris Young

Chris Young is a talented recording artist with seven albums and eight number one singles to his name. He burst onto the country music scene in 2006, competing on and winning "Nashville Star" against many other talented country performers. The same year he won "Nashville Star", Young released his self-titled debut album, which was well-received by fans and critics alike. Within a year this album had hit the number three spot on the US Billboard Top Country Albums. It seemed that more than just fans of the show, "Nashville Star", enjoyed his sweet voice and knack for writing songs that go straight to the heart. He was officially a country music star. Riding the momentum of his early success, he released his second album, "The Man I Want to Be", in 2009. Three of the four singles released from that album were huge successes with the singles, “Voices”, “Gettin’ You Home”, and “The Man I Want to Be”, all hitting number one.

In addition to his success on country charts, Chris Young has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards and several awards within the country music genre. He won the American Country Award in 2011 for both Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for “Voices”. In 2014, Chris Young also won British Country Music Association’s International Act of the Year.

Chris Young takes his love of music and his fans much further than the stage, donating his time and raising money for organizations like Little Kids Rock, and even donating $25,000 of his own money to the Nashville School of Arts. Chris Young has also raised funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and even created a fundraising site to help with the massive flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. It is clear that this big-hearted country music sensation loves his fans as much as they love him.
