Chvrches came together after all three of its members – Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty – cut ties to other bands, groups or projects. Once they came together and debuted their first demo, "Lies," on the Neon Gold blog in the spring of 2012, there was no looking back. A few months later their hit "The Mother We Share" was the official catalyst to the career of Chvrches exploding.
Chvrches came in fifth on the BBC's Sound of 2013 list of the most promising new talent in music. In March 2013 they released "Recover EP," and six months later rolled out their debut studio album "The Bones of What You Believe."
The group has released many well-recived albums and has been nominated for numerous awards in the UK and elsewhere.
