Digable Planets Tickets - Reaching the Core of Jazzy Hip-HopTHe '90s was definitely an age of experimentation and discovery, especially when it came to music. New sounds and fusions were explored all over, and without a doubt one trio of talented music artists formed in 1991 decided to come out with something slick; the name of the trio was none other than the Digable Planets. Digable Planets Tickets - The Music Rocket to Outer SpaceThe first album was entitled Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space), and with the help of their lead single 'Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)' raving the airwaves, the album was hailed as a critical and commercial triumph. It was a much stronger album than the first, featuring fewer samples, more creativity, and even some solos to boot.

There was a coffee shop feel and aura about them that was very much a jazz atmosphere -- with hip-hop added in, they kicked up the beat and made everyone bob their heads. Nothing wrong with that!
