DJ Falcon set to return to Pygmalion
You know it was a good night when people are still talking about your DJ set a year later.
Last spring at Vauxhall's Lightbox venue, Neon Noise Project presented a massive one-off show of two huge names from the French electronic scene – the noted French house stalwart DJ Falcon and Vulture Music boss Alan Braxe.
The two were joined by dance-fusionists Crystal Fighters playing a rare DJ set, along with Kitsune and Dirt Crew Recordings artist Clancy and Vulture's resident DJ Xander Milne.
The night took place at Lightbox in South London on Saturday, April 5. Fans were able to snatch up tickets for just £10, packing the venue to be part of the experience as DJ Falcon and Braxe played together for just the second time ever (following their performance the prior November at Village Underground) .
Notably, DJ Falcon and Braxe are still said to be working on an album together, though further details have yet to materialize. The project was first mentioned back in early 2014, though it's seemingly been a non-stop electro adventure for both artists lately.
DJ Falcon will return to Pygmalion, one of Dublin's most loved night clubs, on Friday, May 22, 2015.
About DJ Falcon
Meet Stephane Queme, aka DJ Falcon, the man behind hits like "Together" and "So Much Love to Give."
Though it seems like a lifetime ago (1999) that Queme's first EP, "My Name is DJ Falcon, was released, his success is anything but a surprise. He is part of the "French touch" generation and comes from an artistic family. Before producing he worked in the A&R department at Virgin Records, dabbled in photography and began to channel a lot of that artistic creativity into music.
You probably know DJ Falcon as a contributor to remixes for a hoard of artists such as Phoenix and Cassius (La Mouche), not to mention playing live shows alongside the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Ed Banger and Kitsune. And you know you're hearing DJ Falcon thanks to his unrivaled mix of old school, electro, indie dance, new wave and house classics. In fact, there aren't too many places Falcon hasn't swooped in and stolen the show. He's played just about every big-name club in the world, from Fabric London and Pacha & Privilege Ibiza to Cocoon Frankfurt and Womb Tokyo.
Beginning in September 2010 Falcon has been a resident at Social Club in Paris with cousin Alan Braxe for "Vulture Music Presents." Some of his more recent music credits have come in the form of remixes, including Justice's single "New Lands," Alex Gopher's "Hello" and Alan Braxe's single "Time Machine."
Falcon is currently working on an album with Braxe, with both men considered unsung heroes of French house.
