Lana Del Rey in Boston
After what will be a three-year hiatus from the stage, Lana Del Rey will be kicking off her “LA to the Moon” tour in January 2018. She’ll be touring along with supporting acts Jhene Aiko and Kali Uchis in support of her latest No. 1 album, called Lust for Life.
Del Rey will be making what is sure to be one of the most exciting stops of the tour in Boston on January 13, 2018, at the world-famous TD Garden arena, which also hosts the NBA’s Boston Celtics and NHL’s Boston Bruins when not featuring concerts. Though there isn’t a bad seat in the house, fans can check out SeatGeek’s TD Garden Seating Chart for a preview of what their view might look like before buying tickets.
The star singer will almost certainly play her hits, new and old, including Summertime Sadness, Young and Beautiful, Video Games, and tracks from her new album such as Love, Lust for Life, and Summer Bummer.
Born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant in New York City, Lana Del Rey (her stage name) burst onto the music scene in 2011 when she uploaded two songs to her YouTube channel that became viral hits: Video Games and Blue Jeans. Her second studio album, called Born to Die, followed in 2012. Her third album, Ultraviolence, was released in 2014 and debuted at number one in 12 countries, followed by Honeymoon in 2015, which also received much critical praise.
Del Rey is known for her intimate, stripped-down live performances that are all about the music. She has one of the most powerful voices in music today, with vocal range matched by few. Fans lucky enough to attend one of her shows are sure to have one of the greatest live music experiences of their lives.
