The Amalie Arena seats 20,500 and is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2011-2013 the arena spent more than $62 million in improvements that have made it a premier entertainment venue for Florida. Renovations included rebuilding the grand plaza entrance, renovating suites, bars, terraces, concession areas, new lighting and redecorating. Since that time the Amalie Arena has hosted countless sold out concerts for big names such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Bob Seger, KISS, just to mention a few.
