Mariah Carey in New York
One of the most successful and prolific performers in recent memory, Mariah Carey rose to fame in the 1990s and is still one of the hottest acts out there. Over her illustrious career, she’s won five Grammy Awards, 14 Billboard Music Awards, and holds a number of Billboard chart records including most weeks with a number one song and most consecutive years charting a number-one single. Nearing the age of 50, Carey shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
Though she is still making new music, Carey has also become well-known for her holiday-season shows. Her Christmas performances are called the “All I Want for Christmas is You” Concert Series, named after her mega-hit that has become one of the most well-known holiday songs in history. That song was released in 1994 as part of what would become the best-selling Christmas album of all-time.
New York is a focal point of Carey’s run of shows this year, as she has six at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan from November 27 to December 5, 2017. This year’s shows are, once again, guaranteed to be one of the best ways to get in the mood for the holiday season. Fans in the New York area this winter won’t want to miss this chance.
Among other hits, here are some of the songs Carey is likely to play for her Christmas show setlist.
- All I Want for Christmas Is You
- Oh Santa!
- Here Comes Santa Claus
- Joy to the World
- When Christmas Comes
- Christmas Time Is In The Air Again
- We Belong Together
