English performer Sam Smith first exploded onto the music scene when he was featured on Disclosure’s smash hit single, “Latch”, in 2012. Since then, he’s built a massive solo career following his debut album, In the Lonely Hour, which was released in May of 2014. Smith was nominated for six Grammy Awards in 2015, winning four for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Smith returned from a brief hiatus in 2017 to release his second album, The Thrill of it All, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Albums Chart There’s no doubt that Smith is now truly an international success, as he claimed the top spot in both the US and UK markets.
Sam Smith is embarking on a tour in 2018 in support of his new album, making two stops in New York: at Barclays Center on June 27, and Madison Square Garden on June 29.
