New York based theater ensemble Elevator Repair Service (ERS) takes on their most ambitious endeavor yet in Gatz, a retelling of Fitzgerald's American masterpiece, The Great Gatsby. Set in a shabby office of a mysterious small business, Gatz begins when an employee finds a copy of the novel on his desk and begins to read it out loud without stopping. The play, which is six hours long and performed by an ensemble of 13, slowly becomes an enactment of the novel itself, as a series of strange occurrences forces the audiences to wonder if the novel is transforming him. The play, which performed to sold-out audiences at the Public Theater in New York in 2010, continues to tour throughout the United States and Europe. Fans anticipate Gatz tickets to witness this unique play of epic proportions come to life.
