Born in Redditch, Worcestershire, Harry Styles has made quite the name for himself. He also made a name for One Direction, literally. Styles came up with the iconic band name after being grouped with the rest of the guys for an audition on The X Factor. All five of the group members failed to make it to the live show individually, so the judges suggested they team up. The rest was history. One Direction has released five albums as a group: Up All Night in 2011, Take Me Home in 2012, Midnight Memories in 2013, Four in 2014 and Made in the A.M. in 2015. It’s safe to say that the group’s fans—the 1D Family—have appreciated all of those projects, particularly hits like “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Story of My Life,” “Best Song Ever,” “Live While We’re Young,” and “One Thing.”
After experiencing an unreal amount of group success, Styles decided to give it a go as a solo artist. The results have been magnificent thus far, as Styles’ “Sign of the Times” is a hit all around the world. The song is serving as the lead single for Styles’ self-titled album, Harry Styles, which was released in May 2017. His tour promises to be an exciting one, as he’ll bring the same flair he brought to the stage with One Direction. And if you can’t get enough of Styles, then go see Christopher Nolan’s summer blockbuster Dunkirk, where the singer will be making his acting debut.
