iHeartRadio Music Festival Details
From the folks at iHeartRadio, an Internet radio platform, iHeartRadio Music Festival has become a destination event for pop stars and music fans alike. Held annually in Las Vegas, NV, the inaugural edition took place in 2011 with a heavy-hitting cast of artists including Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Jay-Z and more. Initially hosted at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in 2016 the event moved to the new T-Mobile Arena which has a capacity of 20,000 attendees. In addition to the slew of killer headliners, in 2013 the fest expanded to include an iHeartRadio “village” which showcases newer, rising acts. The festival generally falls on the second-to-last weekend of September, although dates and performers for the 2017 affair are still to-be-announced. For folks unable to attend the two-day concert in person, the show is broadcast by The CW and replayed frequently on Palladia.
