Imagine Dragons Details
Started in 2008 by a couple of friends, the seemingly overnight success of Imagine Dragons proves that the music world was ready for the group’s fresh, unique sound. Working hard in the studio, they released two extended plays in 2010, their self-titled debut EP and their EP, “Hell and Silence”. Their first studio album, “Night Visions”, was released in 2012 and went platinum that same year. It also made the top ten albums in thirteen different countries across the globe. The singles did exceptionally well. “Radioactive” holds the record for most weeks on the Hot 100, at 87 weeks. The song sold 35 million singles worldwide, and “Radioactive” holds the No. 1 spot of the Top Ten Most Downloaded Songs in Rock History. Their single, “Demons”, released a second time on “Night Visions”, made No. 8 on the same list.
Considered the breakthrough band of 2013 and the biggest band of 2017, Imagine Dragons has ridden the momentum of their earlier success to unprecedented heights. Imagine Dragons has already been nominated for more than 70 awards, winning over 20 awards from various entities, both for albums and singles. They also won the GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Performance in 2014.
