Retention Marketing Associate
SeatGeek's mission is to enable fans all over the world to see more live. As a CRM Strategy Associate, you’ll leverage compelling messaging to help convince millions of people to go see more sporting events.

You’re a marketing polyglot who is equally strong in the art and science of retention messaging. On one hand, you have excellent technical and quantitative skills: Research, reporting, analysis, experimentation, logistics, and related systems/software are all second nature to you. On the other hand, you’ve got a knack for discerning good copywriting & visual design and you reflexively understand the motivations of sports fans.

What You'll Do

You’ll be a major contributor to the strategy behind SeatGeek’s customer communications, with a focus on sports. The messages you’ll create will not only drive substantial business returns, but will also be captivating, integral extensions of the core SeatGeek experience. In service of this goal, you’ll:

  • Manage day-to-day decisions about copy, design, audience segmentation, and personalization for our sports messaging
  • Contribute to holistic user flows & multi-touch experiences to keep users continuously engaged with SeatGeek
  • Report on KPIs, generate models & forecasts, set goals, and oversee measurement & reporting for large activation and retention projects
  • Champion our referral program
  • Be one of the marketing team’s subject matter experts on all things involving sports, and constantly ideate on how we can engage our existing sports buyers and get them to attend more games
  • Keep a close watch on competitors and other sources of industry news & inspiration
  • Support the continued growth and timeliness of in-app messages, and be a driving force behind the continued evolution of our weekly giveaway platform “the Daily Tap”

What You Have

You’re a technical marketer, a diligent professional, and have probably amassed at least 1-3 years experience as part of a high-functioning marketing team, specifically in a role concerned with conversion optimization, retention, and/or growth. You are well-versed in the following skills/tools, and eager to learn any that are new to you:

  • Interdepartmental communication (esp. with software developers & product managers)
  • Project management experience (e.g. GitHub Issues, Jira, Asana, kanban, etc.)
  • A/B testing & other experimental methodology (e.g. Optimizely)
  • Business intelligence software (Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Data analysis, especially utilizing spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  • SQL experience is a major plus
  • Knowledge and passion for sports (especially the big 5 sports leagues)
  • Passionate learner and have demonstrably overachieved throughout your educational and professional career.
