Los Angeles Rams Details

After spending over two decades in St. Louis, the Rams returned to their rightful home in Los Angeles for the 2016 season to play at the city’s iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the same venue the franchise played in from 1946 to 1979. And while the team waits for its new stadium in L.A.’s Inglewood neighborhood to be completed for the 2019 season, things are already off to a good start in Southern California. The new era began with the selection of quarterback Jared Goff with the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons, the 6’4” Goff showed plenty of flashes of the potential that made him the top pick, while also showing that he has plenty of room to grow. Fortunately, he has plenty of talent to help take the pressure off. Running back Todd Gurley, the Rams’ first-round pick from a year earlier, is one of the most skilled backs in the league. L.A. also has one of the most dominant defensive players in the league in massive DT Aaron Donald.

As a historically nomadic franchise, the Rams are the only organization to win a title in three different cities: Cleveland in 1945, L.A. in 1951 and St. Louis in 1999. Team legends from the St. Louis years include Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce. The greatest Ram of all time, however, would have to be running back Eric Dickerson, who set a still-standing NFL record of 2,105 rushing yards as a Los Angeles Ram in the 1984 season.
