Spawning from the rock groups of the 1960s, Grupera became a popular genre of Mexican music in the 1990s, generally consisting of four or more musicians. Los Temerarios are a Mexican Grupera band formed in 1978 by brothers Adolfo Angel, Gustavo Angel and their cousin Fernando Angel. Their sound is romantic, using traditional rock percussion and sensual Latin lyricism to give them their unique sound. In 1983, Los Temerarios released their first album Los 14 Grandes Hits, quickly gaining the band popularity among listeners. Los Temerarios has recorded over 20 albums and won multiple accolades over the years, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Billboard Music Awards.
