NC State Wolfpack Football Tickets

With six conference rivals within 300 miles, North Carolina State football games are a destination for both Wolfpack fans and visiting spectators. Whichever side you’re on, Raleigh is a fine spot for a college football game.

NC State started its football program in 1892, back when it was known as The North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. Its history includes six consensus All-America selections and five members of the College Football Hall of Fame.

The Wolfpack plays home games at Carter-Finley Stadium , which is close to campus and holds more than 57,000 fans. The configuration is intimate, with Carter-Finley having the smallest distance between the stands and the sidelines in the ACC.

The Wolfpack’s biggest rivals are their neighbors to the west, the North Carolina Tar Heels. The schools first met on the gridiron in 1894. While the Heels hold the all-time edge, the Wolfpack have gotten the best of their rivals so far in this century. Carter-Finley hosts the game in odd-numbered years.

NC State’s costumed mascots are Mr. and Mrs. Wuf, who were married in 1981 by the Wake Forest Demon Deacon during halftime of a basketball game. The live mascot is a Tamaskan dog named Tuffy, who looks like a husky and can be seen on the sidelines during Wolfpack football games.
