Omar Apollo is a singer and songwriter from Indiana, known for singing in both English and Spanish. Before the global fanbase and millions of Spotify streams, Omar Apollo uploaded his first songs to SoundCloud while working at Jimmy John's and Guitar Center. Borrowing $30 from a friend, Apollo uploaded his song "Ugotme" to Spotify in 2017, which landed a spot on the platform's "Fresh Finds" playlist. Though R&B is the foundation, Apollo experiments with funk, pop, reggaeton, electronic, and hip-hop in his music — earning love and notoriety from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and The FADER.
