Paul McCartney Details
Paul McCartney was only 15 years old when he started performing with John Lennon and The Quarrymen. That relationship with Lennon would ultimately lead to the formation of The Beatles, which many consider to be the greatest band in the history of music. Along with Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, McCartney and The Beatles went on to become the best-selling band in history. The group still holds a record for most-ever Billboard toppers, and you need to reconsider your priorities if you haven’t heard hits like “A Day in the Life”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, “Yesterday”, “Hey Jude”, “Here Comes The Sun”, “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “Let It Be”, “Come Together”, and “Yellow Submarine”. Even picking a few of their best songs is a challenge because The Beatles have released enough hits for their own Billboard Top 100. But McCartney also had group success with Wings, which included his wife Linda. The Wings were no Beatles, but all of McCartney’s work is greatly appreciated by fans of both him and the group.
McCartney has, however, experienced success that goes beyond his time with those famous bands. McCartney most recently released NEW in 2013, but it’s safe to say he’ll perform hits from his other solo albums and also some of The Beatles’ classics. He knows what his fans want to hear and that is part of what makes him one of the best performers alive. It’s also worth noting that you might know McCartney from some of his work with Kanye West. Although we really hope that isn’t the case.
