Post Malone Details

About

Born in 1995 in Syracuse, NY, Austin Richard Post, better known by his stage name, "Post Malone", is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, guitarist and record producer. At a young age, Malone's family moved to Texas and this is where he began to play the guitar. At just 16 years old, Malone created his first mixtape, "Young and After Them Riches".

It wasn't until Post Malone made the move to LA that his career really began to take off. He had dropped out of college and soon met Trocon Roberts, who is an American record producer better known as 1st Down of FKi. Roberts assisted Malone in producing his first single, "White Iverson", in 2015. After releasing a music video for the song, Malone received praise from the likes of Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa. He was on his way.

In August of 2015, Malone signed with Republic Records. He went on to work with a host of prominent rappers including 50 Cent, Young Thug, and Kanye West. That same year, he even performed at Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday party.

Post Malone's fanbase is youthful and widespread. He often keeps in touch with his fans via Instagram where he has a large following.

Post Malone's Setlist

Some of Post Malone's most popular and well-known songs that he is likely to play in concert include:

  • Rockstar
  • Congratulations
  • White Iverson
  • Go Flex
  • I Fall Apart
  • Psycho

  • Feeling Whitney

Post Malone's music has been described as a "melting pot of the country, grunge, hip-hop and R&B that he's grown up on" by Clash Magazine. While his songs hit on a variety of genres, Malone chooses to classify himself as "genre-less". Post Malone has cited both Bob Dylan and 50 Cent as being strong musical influences for his work.

Post Malone in Concert

Seeing Post Malone in concert is certainly an amazing live music experience. Post Malone makes his presence known - he's gone so far as to smash every prop on stage to pieces and perform covers on his bedazzled guitar. Malone is a bit of a rebel - he doesn't seem to care what others think of him but he wants his fans to always have a great time.

What some may not realize is that Post Malone actually has quite the voice. It especially shines through during his acoustic performances.
