Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Partners with SeatGeek

SeatGeek Becomes Primary Ticketing Partner for the Classic at AT&T Stadium

NEW YORK and ARLINGTON, Texas (May 5, 2021) – The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is partnering with the innovative ticketing platform SeatGeek to provide a mobile ticketing and custom ticket management solution heading into the upcoming college football season and the 2021 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the 86th Classic.

SeatGeek’s best-in-class technology will provide fans a streamlined user experience to easily buy, transfer and scan their tickets and continue to use mobile tickets to stay contactless upon entering the stadium. The platform's offerings will integrate into the Cotton Bowl Classic mobile app, allowing digital-savvy event-goers to manage tickets and parking. The Cotton Bowl Classic app is a one-stop source for tickets and game-specific information, including maps, Safe Stadium policies, news, photo galleries, videos and a real-time social media stream to view and contribute content on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

"Partnering with SeatGeek allows the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic to stay at the forefront of providing the most efficient and safe way for fans to buy, sell and transfer tickets, while also giving them everything they need at their fingertips to enjoy the best gameday experience possible," said Rick Baker, Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic President/Chief Executive Officer.

"We've had the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on our radar as a natural partner fit ever since we announced our partnership with the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium a few years ago," said Jeff Ianello, SeatGeek Executive Vice President of Client Partnerships. "The Classic team shares a commitment to creating a seamless, fan-first event experience and we couldn't be happier to partner with them as their primary ticket provider for their fans and the big game."

The Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic is the second college football bowl game to partner with SeatGeek as their primary ticketing provider after the Arizona Bowl announced its partnership with the platform last year. The Classic also joins a SeatGeek partnership roster that includes the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. SeatGeek is also the primary ticketing provider for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans, Major League Soccer and EPL partners Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C., among many others.

The eyes of the college football world will be on this year's marquee matchup set for Friday, Dec. 31 at AT&T Stadium as the Classic is hosting a CFP Semifinal for the third time (2015, 2018, 2021) in its storied history. Information on the ticketing renewal process for the 2021 CFP Semifinal at the 86th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic will be unveiled later this month on GoodyearCottonBowl.com.
