A Pirate’s Life for Me

One of, if not THE most well-known part of “Ray Jay” is the 103-foot pirate ship in the north end zone. Every time the Buccaneers score, the cannons fire – once for each point scored. Throughout the game, the song “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me)” plays, which is when fans on board the ship throw beads, shirts and more to the people below.

"At the beginning of the game the pirate ship lowers its sails and fires the cannons. It creates a great atmosphere for the game."

Steal a deal for parking

Parking can be difficult at any football stadium, Bucs fans recommend getting to the stadium early and trying to grab a parking spot in the neighborhood nearby. There are several neighbors who will offer a parking spot to fans for much cheaper than the stadium prices.

"Go through the nearby neighborhood as they have people who live in the homes willing to let you park there for significantly less of a cost compared to the lots."

Stay cool

This is Florida, so it will likely get very hot during the game. Fans caution others to bring sunscreen and stay hydrated! If you can, try to score seats on the west side of the stadium club seats, as it’s shaded and you’re less likely to get sunburnt.

"Sunscreen, lots of water, have fun. Get their early."
