Alabama, LSU Football Tickets Among Priciest in the SEC
Although the SEC football season does not kick off until Thursday, August 30th when the Vanderbilt Commodores welcome South Carolina to Nashville, fans are already shelling out big bucks to see their favorite teams play. Right now, Alabama, LSU, and Auburn lead the pact with prices averaging in the $200s. Tickets to see Texas A&M, one of the conference’s new additions, are also pretty expensive at $196.29. Rounding out the top ten are South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.
Most Expensive SEC Matchup
After battling it out in the BCS National Championship game last season, it should come as no surprise that this year’s rematch between LSU and Alabama is the most expensive ticket on the secondary market. Currently, fans are paying around $519.44 to see the matchup on November 3rd, up 3% from last year’s regular season game in Tuscaloosa when tickets averaged $503.35.

Alabama Ticket Prices
After scoring the nation’s top recruiting class for the second year in a row, Alabama is once again expected to dominate. In a preliminary preseason poll, ESPN has the Crimson Tide ranked at #3, trailing only LSU and USC for the top spot. As a result of the media hype, ticket prices have increased 16% from last season. Now, it costs about $271.35 to see the Crimson Tide at home. Comparatively, the average price to see LSU at Tiger Stadium is $241.17, about $30 cheaper.
