Carrie Brownstein to Tour Behind New Book
Carrie Brownstein, one-third of Sleater-Kinney and also one-half of the brains behind Portlandia, has announced a book tour. In support of her new memoir, Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl, Brownstein is hitting the road this fall, and bringing some friends along with her. At each stop on the 11-date circuit Brownstein has recruited a guest interviewer. So far on the list is Questlove, Amy Poehler, Jessica Hopper, Gaby Hoffman and Dave Eggers.
The book tour begins on October 27 at the Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY, one of two New York City stops. On November 1, Brownstein can be seen at the Central Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX, after which she’ll spend two days in California. Of course a stop in her home city of Portland is on the list (November 5), before wrapping things up with a reading in Seattle, Montreal, and finally Toronto on November 17.
