Who knew that coming up with date ideas would be so troublesome? Whether you’re going on a first date or taking the ol’ ball and chain out for the night, we’ve got you covered.

From Celine Dion to tea tasting, here are some fun date ideas in Houston this week.

Celine Dion @ Toyota Center

Saturday, February 1 | 7:30PM

If your partner is really into Celine Dion (because who isn’t?) and you don’t take them to see her this weekend, you’re just not a nice person.  This Saturday night, grab tickets to see Celine Dion perform at the Toyota Center as part of her Courage World Tour. Tickets are selling quickly because, well, it’s Celine Dion so get them as soon as possible!

Houston Dog Frisbee League @ Swanny’s Grill

Sunday, February 2 | 3PM

Did you put on your dating profile that your date “must love dogs?” This Sunday, take them to the Houston Dog Frisbee League for a game of K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch. This league goes on for the next five Sundays and is only $20 per handler and dog for the entire season. This may be a little bit of an unorthodox date, but it would be a great way to bond and have both of your dogs meet.

Bank of American Screen on the Green @ Discovery Green

Thursday, January 30 | 7PM

Is there anything more romantic than watching a movie on a huge screen outside while laying on the grass? Help your partner recreate their chick flick fantasy they’ve created in their head by taking them to Screen on the Green at Discovery Green Thursday night. Guess what movie they’re playing? Footloose. Could it be any more perfect? Buy them a rich hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and get cozy for the night with a good flick.

The Fab Four: The Ultimate Beatles Tribute @ Revention Music Center

Friday, January 31 | 8PM

This Friday night, take your loved one to see The Fab Four perform at the Revention Music Center. The Fab Four are a California-based tribute band for The Beatles, and their music will really make you feel like you’re watching The Beatles themselves. They have been performing their songs since 1997, when they were founded by Ron McNeil, a John Lennon impersonator.

Tea Seminar and Tasting: Where East Meets West @ Asia Society Texas Center

Wednesday, January 29 | 6PM

The Asia Society Texas Center is celebrating National Hot Tea month with this tea seminar and tasting. Bring your partner and enjoy a two-hour event where you will learn about the history of tea, tea tasting traditions, and it’s multicultural journey. They will demonstrate a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and then you’ll get to attempt to make your own matcha tea. Registration to this event includes the tasting, sweets, tea-infused snacks, and a tea gift set for each guest.

Theme Night Tuesday @ The Ice at Discovery Green

Tuesday, January 28 | 7PM

Ice Skating will always be the perfect date night event to do with your partner or a new love interest. This Tuesday, you can go ice skating at Discovery Green for their Theme Night Tuesday event! This will be the last theme night of the season, so you should absolutely go and enjoy the night. This night’s theme is H-town Pride and if you dress the part, you get to skate for the discounted rate of $11, which includes skate rental and tax.

45th Annual Mardi Gras Scholarship Gala @ The Westin Houston

Saturday, February 1 | 7:30PM

The Southern University Alumni Federation Houston Chapter has invited us to their 45th Annual Mardi Gras Scholarship Gala on Saturday. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to provide scholarships for students in the Greater Houston area who are trying to pursue a higher education in the Southern University system. This event is for a great cause and also the perfect opportunity to whip out your dusty tuxedo or ball gown.

American Authors with Magic Giant @ Warehouse Live

Monday, January 27 | 7:30PM

American Authors will be performing this Monday night at the Warehouse Live and we couldn’t think of a better way to start the week. Who said that dates had to only be on the weekend, anyways? Take your s/o to enjoy a night of indie rock music, complete with a banjoist. I’ll be starting a petition to make every Monday Banjo night soon.
