J.K. Rowling is taking Harry Potter from the page to the stage in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, opening on Broadway this April 22. The two-part play–an original, new story by Rowling–first premiered in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it continues to play to sold out houses (and snatch up countless major theatre awards). This spring it will finally debut stateside at the Lyric Theatre, which is currently undergoing a complete renovation in preparation for the show.

With Harry Potter fandom seemingly just as high as when the books first came out in the late ’90s and early 2000s, devotees will likely flock to New York City to see what their favorite characters have been up to after all these years. So what’s the play actually about? According to its official website:

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.
