The prolific and hilarious Louis CK has announced a handful of shows to round out his touring schedule before work begins on the fifth season of Louie. While fans have a bit more time to prepare than the folks in Boston a few weeks ago, tickets for the event will likely still be tough to get your hands on. With scalping at an all-time high, Louis is following in the steps of the Foo Fighters and taking measures to protect the fans, which he explains in more detail in a recent email blast:

New York State has laws which prohibit us from forcing out of town ticket buyers to pick up their tickets in person which is something we do in order to reduce scalping and price gouging. Therefore If you are trying to buy tickets to the MSG shows and you are outside of a 200 mile radius, you won’t be able to. This is because we think you might be buying the tickets just to resell them. If you are a fan from out of town who is getting lost in the cracks of this system please email tickets@louisck.net and we will try to help you get tickets.”

The short run of standup shows begin at the Chicago Theater on January 5 & 6 (a late show and early show both days); NYC’s Madison Square Garden on January 7; and Los Angeles at The Forum on January 11. Tickets are on sale now–MSG and the early shows in Chicago on the 5th and 6th are sold out. According to the Louis CK official website, another NYC show has been added for January 14, with tickets still available.
