Everybody’s favorite high school comedy is making a move to the Broadway stage. Tina Fey’s Mean Girls will debut at the August Wilson Theatre on April 8 after a successful run at Washington D.C.’s National Theatre last fall. Leading the cast is Erika Henningsen (as Cady Heron), Taylor Louderman (as Regina George) and Ashley Park (as Gretchen Wieners).

So what can fans of the film expect from the musical retelling? Fey told EW.com last year that folks “will hopefully find that [this musical] has the DNA of the movie and is true to the spirit of it, but is also opened up in a lot of ways. I feel like all the music in our show is very catchy — like, I feel like you will walk out humming several songs. The songs are what make the show.”

Besides the aforementioned writer/actor/30 Rock star, Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin are also on tap for music and lyrics, plus direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw. SNL creator Lorne Michaels is the show’s lead producer.
