Since 1870, the residents of Chi-Town have gathered together to honor the men and women who gave their lives to defend their country. It kicks off at noon, beginning south on State Street. Craft Beer Week

Make it to Chicago in time for the final two days of Craft Beer Week. Coinciding with American Craft Beer Week, discover local libations and rub elbows with a fellow community of beer lovers. There will be special $4 tastings of rare beers, and on Friday Revolution Brewing Co. will hots a “brews cruise.” Friday – Saturday, May 22-23.

Gaelic Park Irish Fest

For the last 25 years, the Gaelic Irish Park Fest has marked the beginning of summer and the start of Chicago’s festival season. Enjoy a petting zoo, delicious local food, and music from The Young Dubliners during this weekend-long event. Friday – Monday, May 22-25.

Summer Camp Music Festival

With literally hundreds of performers on over seven stages, Summer Camp is the hot festival ticket of the summer. This year’s headliners include moe., Umphrey’s McGee, Steve Miller Band and Widespread Panic (full lineup here). It’s held at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, so be sure to bring your tents! Chicago Undy Run/Walk

This is exactly what it sounds like. Wake up early, roll out of bed (literally), and come have fun all for a good cause. Chicago’s undy run/walk works to raise money for colon cancer awareness and patient support programs, and is also a family-friendly event. Saturday, May 23, 9am.
