Mike Epps got his big start in comedy as a member of the Def Comedy Jam Tour and HBO Def Comedy Jam broadcast in 1995. Catching the attention of Ice Cube, Epps was cast in his films “Next Friday”, “Friday After Next”, and “All About the Benjamins”, among others. What a break—since then, Epps has starred in over 30 feature films, even winning a NAACP Image Award for his role in the movie Jumping the Broom. He’s had two comedy specials on Showtime, including Mike Epps: Underrated and Never Faded and Mike Epps Presents…, and a few musical releases, including “Trying to be a Gangsta” with Pooh Bear and “Big Girls”, a cover of a song previously recorded by (Lil’) Bow Wow. His latest film, Repentance, stars Anthony Mackie and Forest Whitaker and will be released on February 28 of this year.
