In the not too distant future, creator Joel Hodgson is taking Mystery Science Theater 3000 on tour for one final go-round with Tom Servo and Crow.

According to a press release announcing the 69-date tour, Hodgson is ready to walk away from his cult classic television series and is taking his riffing puppet friends on a “final live tour performing the unique comedic art form he created.”

The flagship show has long-since been taken over by Jonah Ray for a Netflix revival. While Ray won’t be on the tour, he wrote for the upcoming tour that will lampoon Jean Claude Van Damme’s No Retreat, No Surrender and a British horror flick from the ’60s called Circus of Horrors.

The long farewell starts in York, PA at the Pullo Center on September 14. The crew keeps themselves east of Chicago for most of 2019, playing Boston’s Emerson Colonial and DC’s National Theatre, among others. The last show of the year takes place at New Orleans’ Mahalia Jackson Theater ahead of a break. The first three months of 2020 finds the show out west, with performances in Seattle and San Diego. MST3K runs back east through March, closing out in Orono, Maine on the 8th.
