Having grossed over a billion dollars since opening in 1998, Cirque du Soleil’s O has become a Las Vegas mainstay and is celebrated as one of the best shows ever performed in the history of the company. In addition to being performed over 8,000 times, O has won many awards over the past 20 years including the THEA’s “Best Live Show” and the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s best production show.

O, pronounced “eau” – the French word for water – takes place in, on, and around a 1.5-million-gallon pool of water and features acts like the high dive, synchronized swimming and contortion. The show is heavily inspired by water and the concept of infinity and pays tribute to the “beauty of theatre” where anything is possible, and the drama of life plays itself out before our very eyes.

Reviews of Cirque du Soleil: O

“Nothing I’ve seen balances a truly inspiring spectacle with Cirque’s signature sense of whimsy the way ‘O’ does.” – Brock Radke, Las Vegas Sun

“The concept is so unusual and the staging is so consistently beautiful that it will likely wow audiences more than any other thematic Cirque du Soleil offering.” – Christopher Hoile, Stage-door.com

“To attend your first Cirque du Soleil show on the Las Vegas Strip is to come to the realization that the only limit to one’s imagination is a closed mind. Never is this more evident than in ‘O,’ the groundbreaking production that’s been taking the ‘Wow!’ factor to new heights (and depths) since the equally groundbreaking Bellagio opened its doors in October 1998. What sets ‘O’ apart from other Cirque productions (or, really, any show anywhere) is how water plays such a vital role in the story—what other theater production’s centerpiece is a 1.5 million-gallon pool that doubles as a stage?” Matt Jacob, Las Vegas Magazine
