Daughtry, Melissa Etheridge to Help Break in New Pompano Beach Amphitheater
One of South Florida’s most popular and beloved concert venues is back and bringing in some big name performers to help celebrate. After some renewal and revitalization, the Pompano Beach Amphitheater has been rebranded simply as the AMP and is all set to welcome its first big shows, starting with the rock band Daughtry on November 12 and followed by Melissa Etheridge on November 28. After that, the venue will be dormant until early 2015, when it will host the Sea of Jazz Festival from January 23 to 24 and then the Doobie Brothers on February 25.
Located a little over 35 miles North of Miami (and not that far from Fort Lauderdale), the AMP is in the heart of the Pompano Beach community, which is in the midst of redeveloping and reviving its beachfront and historic downtown areas. It features a covered stage with 88 foot opening and a maximum depth of 31 feet, as well as fixed seating for just under 2,900. Check below for upcoming events and tickets at the AMP as they unfold.
