Two thousand and thirteen has been a good year for Scottish synth-pop darlings, CHVRCHES.

After releasing their debut EP, “Recover,” back in March, the group – comprised of Lauren Mayberry (vocalist and synthesizer), Iain Cook (guitar, bass, vocals and synthesizer), and Martin Doherty (synthesizer, vocals) – has been enjoying the roller-coaster ride that comes with being the next “it” band. Some of these milestones include a much-buzzed-about stint at SXSW, a TV debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and a slot on the official soundtrack for next year’s FIFA.

Of course, that’s not to say that 2012 wasn’t also a great year for the band. After forming in late 2011, they spent the following year releasing hit singles “Lies” and “The Mother We Share,” both of which garnered them spots on NME’s Best Tracks of 2012 and The Huffington Post’s Top 52 Songs of 2012, respectively.

Now, you can catch CHVRCHES doing things that most up-and-coming alternative bands do: touring, touring and more touring. Their summer kicked off with a performance at Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, WA, followed by stops throughout the United States and Canada. Now, the band is gearing up for international dates and will be on the road through November, be-bopping around Europe, Japan, Australia and North America. Among the US stops is a September 22 performance at Terminal 5, an event for which New Yorkers have been paying over four times the face value – $83 a ticket – on the secondary market.

Pretty impressive numbers for a band that has been around less than three years, especially considering they have yet to release a full-length album. The Bones of What You Believe, due out on Virgin Records September 23, will feature the two aforementioned singles as well as live tracks and remixes, plus whatever future hit songs are nestled within the 12 tracks. Keep your ears peeled for the new tunes from this Scottish sensation, and keep your eyes peeled to SeatGeek for tickets to their upcoming shows.
