Star Talk Live! with Eugene Mirman Hitting the Road this Year
Get excited, nerds! The coolest online radio show that’s all about space, StarTalk, is taking its live show on the road with co-host comedian Eugene Mirman. The tour will start off with three shows at New York’s Irving Plaza with Bill Nye the Science the Guy July 18 to July 20. From there Mirman and Nye will head up to Provincetown, MA, for show on July 23. They’ll next perform at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, on August 16 followed by two nights the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival in Seattle on August 30 and 31. Mirman will then finish up the StarTalk Live! road show by reuniting with the program’s other host (and founder), famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson in New York from October 9 through October 12, during NYC Comic Con.
Starting originally as a traditional radio show by Neil deGrasse Tyson back in 2009, StarTalk was revived as a web show, featuring podcasts and YouTube videos, in 2010. The show blends humor, pop culture, and (of course) science in its weekly discussions of all things space related. Tyson has worked with a variety of co-hosts over the years, including absurdist comedian Eugene Mirman (probably best known as the voice of Gene Belcher on the hilarious “Bob’s Burgers”).
