10 Insider Tips for Panorama Music Festival
With a killer lineup (including the Killers), Panorama Music Festival is a summer dream on NYC’s East River. Its third anniversary will be held over July 27 weekend at Randall’s Island Park, so get ready with our tips (and tickets) ASAP!
#1. Flex the Amex
Got an American Express Card? Bring it to Panorama to get a wristband for the American Express Entrance Lane, American Express Card Member Club, and free beach blanket and phone charger. Hello, Amex perks!
#2. Rain, Rain Go Away
NYC gets HOT in July, but it can rain too. Don’t forget that humidity! Wear light clothing, but also consider bringing a thin waterproof layer just to be safe. Tie it around your waist for twirly fun dancing in the sun!
#3. Lock It Up
Speaking of layers, some of us just don’t like carrying more than we have to. Luckily, Panorama offers lockers as cheap as $20 per day. With rising festival theft, that looks like a sweet deal to us.
#4. Bottoms Up
There’s nothing like cracking open a cold one with your best buds on a hot day. Kick back at the festival’s Bud Light Dive Bar with live music performed by top local artists. Can’t afford to miss the action on the main stage? No worries, just download the official Panorama app for the “Order Beer” feature to pick up Bud Light at stations. While you’re at it, you can Postmates food to pick up at stations as well. Cheers to skipping lines!
#5. Don’t Miss the Point
Panorama practically has its own EDM festival with The Point, an open-air club with beautiful LED lights pulsing to the DJ’s beats throughout the day. At night, it’s an experience for the senses you can’t miss.
#6. Back to the Future
Aside from the performers, Panorama’s biggest attraction is The LAB by HP. This futuristic curation of immersive digital art features a 360° virtual reality dome. The Instagram heaven not only makes for great pics, but also dreamlike inspiration and escapism.
#7. #InstaGlam
Need a touch up or feeling adventurous for a makeover? Head to the Sephora tent for hairstyling, makeup touch ups, and temporary hair color. Plus, there’s giant glittery beauty props for #InstaGlam photo ops.
#8. I ♥ NYC
Randall’s Island Park is at the Big Apple’s core, aka the heart of the city. The East River island is between Manhattan, The Bronx, and Queens. We don’t need to tell you what to do in NYC, but try to make the most of one of the greatest cities in the world while you’re here. It’s also home to the world’s greatest ticket search engine *wink, wink.*
#9. Stay the Night
Stay close to the park with one of these great deals on nearby hotels, curated by Panorama just for the festival.
#10. Vroom Vroom
There’s no parking at Randall’s Island, but this is NYC–the master of public transportation. Try the subway or bus for less than an Uber, Lyft, or taxi. Starting at just $12, another cheap option is a shuttle to or from Hoboken, Manhattan, and Downtown Brooklyn. Throughout the day, ferries depart every 15 minutes from the East 35th St Ferry Landing at E 35th St & FDR Drive and shuttles run continuously to and from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Help the environment and your wallet by biking to the festival, which has racks to lock your bike to. Buy transportation passes on the Panorama website.
You’re officially ready for the ultimate Panorama experience. Time’s ticking–get tickets on SeatGeek now!
