Austin Psych Fest Going Far-Out for 2013
The sixth-annual Austin Psych Fest, slated for next April 26-28, will once again bring the best-of-the-best in psych rock to the Austin, TX – and anyone else visiting the Loner State that weekend – masses. The lineup may not boast the hottest Top 40 names, or the most easily recognizable ensembles, but this cult tradition celebrating the birthplace of American psychedelic rock n’ roll nonetheless offers a lineup rich in experimental stylings and general feel-good ethos.

For fans in the know, headliners for the festival’s 2013 iteration include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Boris and Deerhunter, who’ll share the outdoor stage at Carson Creek Ranch with over 30 other bands. With such a packed schedule, it’s small surprise the event’s been scheduled for a full weekend, rather than crammed into a one-off afternoon of brief if far-out rock.
