Bear Creek 2015 has been cancelled!!! Here is the statement released by festival organizers:
Dear Bear Creek family,
It is with heavy hearts we must announce that Bear Creek Music & Art Festival 2015 has been canceled. Bear Creek was one of the top boutique festivals in the US, and a primary reason it has been so special is because of YOU, our dedicated fans. We spent eight amazing years together filled with beautiful music, dancing, laughter and celebration, and those memories will always live on. In hopes of producing the best possible event for everyone involved, we switched our dates and tried to diversify our lineup to keep things fresh. Unfortunately, things just were not working out in our favor this year and we were not willing to let the show go on unless everything was absolutely perfect. All ticket purchasers will be refunded from point of purchase.

Ouch. On the plus side, there are plenty of other festivals taking place at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park this year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the festy returns next year!

Devoted attendees of Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival were pleasantly surprised this week when the festy announced its dates for 2015. For the first time ever, the weekend-long affair will take place from October 1-4, rather than its usual mid-November slot. Hopefully, this will lead to warmer weather and a more enjoyable experience for both fans and bands alike! Throughout the years, Bear Creek has become known for its soulful, New Orleans-inspired funk music from acts like Galactic, Bootsy Collins and The Roots, as well as some more diverse sounds from bands like Lotus and Umphrey’s McGee.
This year’s lineup includes Galactic with Macy Gray, Soulive and Dumpstaphunk, plus a whole lot more. Besides killer music, you can also find yoga, live art, workshops, plus a charity food drive and disc golf tournament. And because you’ll be south of the Mason-Dixon line, you can probably expect some killer cuisine, too. Tickets are on sale now.
