The 2012 Bonnaroo lineup was just announced (2/14/2012) and now it’s time to get your Bonnaroo tickets. Yep, it’s time to start planning out your 2012 Bonnaroo trip. For many of us this includes a cross country road-trip – adding to the weekend experience on that 700 acre farm in Manchester, TN. Currently the only place to get tickets is on the secondary market (follow the links above where we have all available Bonnaroo tickets aggregated in one spot) however there will be 3 more phases of tickets released on the primary market which I discuss in detail below. Bonnaroo Tickets – The Process Explained

The tickets are general admission which gets you 4-day festival admission for 1 person and admission for one car
Similar to Burning Man prices, there are different pricing levels.

Among its target demographic, the yearly Bonnaroo Festival is slotted into the calendars of festivalgoer’s like a parent would plan for their child’s birthday or graduation.  For a period of about 5 days, a bevy of college students, hip young adults, music aficionados, and casual music fans descend upon Great Stage Park on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. They come to hang out with like-minded music lovers and to see as many live performances as possible from the vast lineup including Weezer, John Butler Trio, Norah Jones, The National, Kings of Leon, and Dave Matthews Band!  Understandably, most festivalgoer’s are so impressed with the lineup that they pay the ticket price without even considering the value of that ticket.  Well, fortunately, here at SeatGeek, we do the math to save you money on concert tickets.  We crunched the numbers to answer the question: is Bonnaroo a bargain?

The outcome is staggering.

A Bonnaroo attendee will save nearly $685 dollars paying for a Bonnaroo pass instead of paying the average ticket price for these artists on the resale market.  An ambitious Bonnaroo attendee could catch even more shows, and the savings we calculated doesn’t factor in top draws like Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Tenacious D, Damian Marley, Nas, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and B.O.B.!
