Will Desert Trip return for a 2018 edition? Will something even more magical be put in its place? The only thing we know for sure is that money talks, and Goldenvoice would be crazy to not try to replicate the success of the 2016 edition. Keep your eyes and ears perched–if there’s any updates we’ll post ’em here.

(Update 5/11/17)
Despite grossing $160 million in its inaugural year, Paul Tollett of the concert promotions company GoldenVoice said Desert Trip will not be returning for a 2017 edition. Tollett told Billboard in an exclusive interview: “We loved 2016 Desert Trip — that was a special moment in time. Maybe someday in the future we’ll do something similar.” So no Desert Trip this year, but maybe something similar down the road? Keep your ears peeled for Really Oldchella in 2018.

(Original Post 5/5/17)
After a successful inaugural year, fans are eagerly awaiting information regarding the 2017 Desert Trip music festival. Hosted at Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA, the same location of its younger, hipper counterpart Coachella, there are still zero details known about this year’s event.

Based on last year, one can assume the fest will be held over two weekends in early October. Currently, the only info about the 2017 lineup is that juicy rumor about a Led Zeppelin reunion. Though it’d be hard to top 2016’s McCartney, Neil Young and The Stones, we think Zeppelin would be a pretty good start. Keep your eyes and ears peeled as details are revealed!
