The Fool’s Gold Day Off Festival has released some of its lineups for the 2014 season, and this year, they’re taking the show on the road to even more venues—they’re set to play shows in Brooklyn, NY (at 50 Kent Avenue) on September 1; Toronto, ON, on September 6; Los Angeles, CA, on October 12,; Atlanta, GA, on November 1; and Miami, FL, on December 7. So, who is playing? Headliners for the New York City show include Danny Brown and French Montana, as well as Araabmuzik, The Lox, Brenmar, Hoodboi and Shash’u, Nick Catcdubs, and more. In Toronto, A-Trak, Danny Brown, Lunic, LE1F, and Tommy Kruise will take the stage (other lineups have not yet been announced). Tickets for all shows are on sale now, so scoop them up and heat up your fall.

Let’s learn something about one of the headliners—born in Detroit, MI, Daniel Dewan Sewell, aka Danny Brown, is known for his distinct voice, big hair, and unique style. His 2011 album, XXX, received crazy critical acclaim (including earning Spin’s distinction of being the number-one hip hop album of the year) despite only being released online, and for free, at that. Danny Brown also earned the title of Metro Times’ “Artist of the Year” for 2011. His latest album, Old, was released in 2013.
