Forecastle Festival

Forecastle Festival, a three-day music, art and activism fest which takes place in Louisville, KY, have just announced their official 2013 lineup. The event – which will fall over July 13-15 this year – will feature My Morning Jacket, Bassnectar, Wilco, Andrew Bird and Girl Talk (plus many more). The festy began as a small gathering of local musicians and has since grown into a national attraction, being selected as one of Rolling Stone‘s “Top 33 Coolest Festivals” last year. Annual attendance for the event is around 33,000 people, and it’s held at the Louisville Waterfront Park. Past performers include The Flaming Lips and The Black Keys.

Tickets for Forecastle Festival are currently available (and can be found below). They’re available as weekend passes, single day tickets and travel packages. In terms of three-day passes, the early bird tickets are all sold out, but you can still snag a pair at $159.50 each. If you’re a big baller, the three-day VIP pass includes Special VIP entrance, private bars, bathrooms and food vendors, plus access to an air-conditioned lounge. Sold! Besides tunes, the festival also features art exhibitions, a “bourbon lodge,” a sustainable living roadshow, and most importantly: Camelbak hydration stations. Gotta’ stay hydrated.
