Since 1970, Glastonbury Festival has been the highlight of the summer for many a music fan living across the pond. The five-day festival always brings the heaviest of hitters to their lineup, generally spanning from rock n’ roll icons (ahem, The Rolling Stones in 2013 and Stevie Wonder in 2010) to super pop stardom (a la Beyonce and Mumford & Sons).

While there are still six months to go until the rain-cursed festy takes place, anticipation is high for who might appear on the lineup this year. So far the only verified act for Glastonbury 2015 is Lionel Richie, and–wait a second–the Dalai Lama? As in, the 79-year-old Buddhist monk? ‘Das right. According to Consequence of Sound, the Dalai will deliver a “message of compassion and mutual understanding” during his allotted A.M. time slot. Considering all of the negativity that went down in 2014, we’re all for spreading the Buddhist message to a new, hopefully more receptive, demographic. Tickets for the event are already sold out, but there will be a resale of cancelled/returned tickets in spring 2015.
