Grizzly Bear Tour
Grizzly Bear, one of Brooklyn’s finest indie inventions, have announced another leg of their North American tour. The first part of the tour kicks off on March 30, at Mute Club Del Mar in Mar Del Plata, AR, and sees the four-piece band in Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and Singapore. On March 30, they’ll touch down in the good ol’ U.S.A. with a performance at Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, PA. They also have some California shows slated for April 14 & 15, around which time they’ll play the Coachella Music Festival. The extensive tour wraps up with some more overseas dates, including a stop in Munchen, DE, for the Dachau Summer of Music. On June 9, the boys head back home with a gig at NYC’s Governor’s Ball.
Since their formation in 2004, Grizzly Bear have released four albums and two EPs, and have become a staple in discussions about “indie bands out of Brooklyn that are actually good.” Their latest record, 2012’s Shields, was recorded after a six-month hiatus, and was listed by Consequence of Sound as a top 50 album of the year. They still got it!
